Clear success-fee pricing
You recover value first. We earn when the inventory sells.
No upfront cost. Sell the Surplus charges a standard success fee only after a completed inventory sale.
No sale, no success fee.
You retain control: approve the recovery plan and the sale terms before inventory is marketed or sold.
Standard schedule
Straightforward fees based on the completed sale price.
The success fee is calculated on each completed inventory transaction. For sales under $5,000, the $250 minimum applies if 20% would be less than $250.

Before you accept
See the estimated seller net before you decide.
Before a seller accepts an offer, we show the sale price, Sell the Surplus success fee, marketplace or payment fees if applicable, freight if applicable, and the estimated seller net. Third-party marketplace and payment processing fees are shown separately and are not included in the success fee.
Keep logistics practical
Buyer pickup or buyer-arranged freight is preferred whenever practical. Freight is included only if it is agreed for that transaction.
You approve the plan
Nothing is marketed or sold until you have approved the recovery plan and the applicable sale terms.
